I have never experienced customer service at this level. Holy cow blew my mind sent off a unit that i messed up by charging the battery while the unit was plugged in. Sent me a brand new unit and new remotes. This company is A PLUS and i cannot express that enough. WOW WOW AND TY EVERYONE AT JL MARINE.

I have had 2 10ft power pole blades on my boat since boat was new Aug 2018.
Had a circuit board go back and was replaced free in 2 days.
New Years weekend on Lake Okeechobee starboard knuckle broke.
Was online getting ready to put in cart and pay, but they were doing upgrades on their site.
So, I called, and was surprised to have the guy do warranty replacement, he asked me to check other side for cracks in knuckle, sure enough was cracked where blade slides in.
He then says. I'm sending you 2 knuckle kits with new blades.
UNBELIEVABLE, customer service.
Nothing by Power Pole anchors will be on any boat I get.

On 12/5/2024 I dropped off my Power pole to the will-call window at JL Marine for servicing. After several years of use (and no maintenance) it was finally time, as it had begun to malfunction.
I was met by the service tech and I explained my predicament, he was very friendly and super helpful, he assured me that he would get right on it and that he would have it up and running again in no time.
Within 20 minutes my phone rang and it was the service tech (Jason Laur) informing me that my pump was fixed and ready to be picked up.
When I dropped my pump off it looked like it had been at the bottom of the ocean 6 months and now as I picked it up it looked brand new. When I got it home and reinstalled it it worked flawlessly again.
When I picked up the pump and he told me what my bill was I felt slightly ashamed. I was charged just a few dollars for almost a brand new pump, I purchased a POWER POLE baseball cap while there just to spend some more money and ease my conscience.
This interaction was not a one-off as I have dealt with JL Marine in the past and have always received the highest level of customer service. JL Marine and their employees as well as their products stand well above all others.

Full disclosure: I originally wrote a 1-star review, but have since been convinced that Power Pole does have legendary customer service. Here is my story...

I have dual Power Poles on a boat that I just acquired. Neither pole was working right. I called and got a diagnosis and was delighted that the issue was covered under warranty. I just had to remove my units and send them in for repair, and pay shipping. I paid an authorized dealer to handle this for me. They removed the units, sent them back, and reinstalled them. The first fishing trip out was a disaster, with neither pole staying up and one stuck down to the extent that I had to rig up a line to force it up.

Unfortunately, there was a misdiagnosis of the problem, and I was told that I would have to remove the units again and replace parts that were not under warranty. This was disappointing because I would have had to pay twice for my dealer to do the same work essentially. This was due to Power Pole's misdiagnosis of the issue.

After explaining the issue to the Director of Customer Experience (Hector), he fully understood that it was a burden that I should not have to carry and offered to send the parts free of charge, despite the lack of warranty coverage. Honestly, I didn't expect a company the size of Power Pole to have someone with this title, mandate, and authority to handle customer service issues so efficiently. It is refreshing. Hector was professional and diligent throughout our communications, and followed up frequently and appropriately.

Hector communicated directly with my dealer, so I didn't have to. My mechanic received and replaced the parts. I took the boat for a test ride, and everything worked better than I could expect. But that wasn't the end of it. I learned that my dealer would not be sending me a bill because Power Pole compensated them for the service! I did not want the dealer to suffer a loss because it was not their fault, so I was willing to pay for this. But Power Pole stepped up in a big way.

During the course of service, my mechanic realized that one of my spikes was broken as well. I found out that I could get this replaced at no charge by ordering one online myself without any hassle whatsoever. When I received it, it was a different color, so I thought it was wrong. I called Power Pole and they said they changed the color, and if I wanted my other pole to match, just order another one at no charge.

So this company has totally turned a negative situation into a glorious customer service victory.

I am in the market for a trolling motor, and this experience has made me consider Power Pole's Move PV. Things go wrong on boats, and having a manufacturer stand behind their products has tremendous value.

A big thank you to Hector and to the people who have obviously built a quality organization.

Really disappointed with being misled when I ordered a new mother board for my pump. When speaking with Jared he stated what the issue was and was super helpful. However, when I called back to order the part it was 7 months out of warranty and offered me half off for the part, ok great sounds reasonable. Man that took the order said the part would ship the next day on 2 day shipping. I called back this morning to get tracking information and now being told they are behind and shipping will not be for another week and a half! For a company that prides them selves on customer service this is very disappointing. When speaking with the CSR he was like well we can refund your money and cancel the order if you’re not happy. How about let’s try and make it right and ship it to me instead.

BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!

So far I'm extremely Disappointed in how my purchase of powerpoles have gone. Spent over $4K and had things Missing from the sealed box!! After nunerous phone calls was sent some parts and STILL had things not included. Now after more phone calls I HAD TO PAY FOR THOSE PARTS and went with 2 day shipping so that I could FINALLY get my boat together and wellp 2 days Later STILL no parts... finally got an email today(the 2 day mark) saying that they've been shipped. What part of 2 DAY was not understood?! These Poles were ordered Feb 5th and it's what- March 12th and I still don't have my boat done. Spending that kind of cash on something and you'd expect instant customer service and to NOT BE CHARGED for product that SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE BOX!!

I left Minn Kota and Talons after 10 years because all my buddies swore by powerpole. Now I wish I'd never left. F me I guess.
