If you're not familiar, functional practitioners train in the same schools every other doctor trains in medicine for but they choose to practice from a decidedly different approach: they look for the cause and help you actually heal, sometimes using many of the same drugs the insurance model doctors do, but with entirely different results. Speaking of insurance, I have yet to find one functional practitioner that accepts insurance. These doctors are not beholden to insurers to see a new patient every 8 minutes, nor are their hands tied as to which labs, tests, and procedures can be offered because they simply do not involve that third party. Yes, it can be expensive, but it is absolutely reasonable. The reason Forum Health stands out from among the rest is because rather than going from practice to practice where care and policies are often quite different, Forum Health has established offices in multiple states and you get consistent and predictable care and results. Health concerns are not what they used to be and the insurance (allopathic) medical model has not caught up with the unfortunate times in addressing modern ailments, whereas functional medicine absolutely has. And Forum Health offices can be trusted to bring you consistent help and results that is widely accepted among like minded and trained physicians who aren't caught up and sold out to only one way of approaching health.

I love the Integrative Functional Medicine Doctor Shilpa Saxena and her staff. (IFM) is a titled often used by wholistic doctors. Recently, she prescribed an herbal supplement called "HepatoCore" that helped clean out the fatty deposits in my Liver. After taking it for a month, my blood tests showed that my Liver enzymes returned to normal levels, my HgA1c dropped from 6.2 to 5.7, and I am no longer in the Pre-diabetic range. Plus my CT Scan shows that the liver is clear now.
