Great place for veterans, really good discounts and on the 1st monday of each month military vets get a free bag of Appreciation. The staff here are very helpful and caring.

Just went in to buy some flower. Staff was friendly but man, they were playing the worst, awful music i've ever heard.

Don't mean to judge if that's your thing, but I don't think a marijuana dispensary is the place to play SUPER LOUD SCREAMO DEATH METAL. This stuff was playing so loud, I could not think about the selection and made a quick choice just so I could get out of there. I could not wait to leave, it was awful. Just terrible music choice to play somewhere where your customers want to chill and browse some products. I won't go back, the vibes were terrible!

ROLL YOUR OWN POUCHES ARE BEING SOLD AT THE WATSONVILLE STORE as of Friday 1/6/23...

The loss of the cruz cones in Aptos is a pain. I'm not sure why that happened and I have significantly curtailed my shopping there although I miss the great service of the folx that work there - they were/are awesome! But I will say, Cultivate has forced me to change my behavior since it appears ROLL YOUR OWN POUCHES ARE BEING SOLD AT THE WATSONVILLE STORE (at least for the short time being).

I went yesterday and got 4 7g ouches and raw garden live resin gram for $108 out the door - with the Safeway 10% coupon, of course. I'm not sure if they're broadcasting it or if I got the last few pouches. But the ROLL YOUR OWN was/is amazing. And I got all I wanted (and could legally take :D) yesterday in WASTONVILLE, fyi.

So I'm not stoked but I'll take it. I think that store could use our help, if possible. Unfortunately, if you're going out to Watsonville Hook is right there with terribly competitive prices on flower, fwiw.

This IS/WAS The Santa Cruz Veterans Alliance. They USED TO be my favorite place to go, BUT since they've become "Cultivate" they have also become one of the MOST EXPENSIVE dispensaries in town!
SERIOUSLY INSANE PRICING.
I just paid $70 for a Raw Garden 1g Cart. Yup - so much!
They are $36 at Santa Cruz and something like $35 at One Plant. So NO, they SUCK NOW, sadly.

Interesting that they've responded to everyone else, but not to me... They have nothing to say about their $70 RG vape carts? Have your vape carts come down in price by half? Doubt it...

I want to make this clear my review is specifically only about them no longer carrying a product, otherwise this is genuinely one the best dispensaries with the best staff around here. Now, that being said, they stopped selling Cruz Cones Roll Your Own. I don't know why they would stop selling a product that kept people coming back, I sold Cultivate to people on the strength of the deal of those quarter sacks and now I don't think I can recommend this place. You could double the price and it would still be an insanely good deal, so unless there's a supply issue this is hands-down one of the most bizarre business decisions I've seen.

As a veteran, the idea to give veterans in need assistance is a wonderful idea. The implementation of this idea is executed horribly, essentially giving access to medication on one day a month is ludicrous. If you are trying to help vets in need, then help! Maybe a system where a veteran could claim once a month would come across as more genuine but after 3 failed attempts this has become way more hassle especially aimed at a disabled community

Edit: you may think a 1-star review is harsh, but I assure you proper documentation was brought every time, medical card and all. Your program being claimable 1 day a month and 0 flexibility was my issue when this service, especially being targeted for people in need. 3 separate times I took time out of my day to participate in this, and once was a part of this. I won't be coming back to this organization, but wanted to point out my experience and how this idea could be more inclusive for those that need it as an alternative to western pain medication.
