A hidden gem that contains a wealth of information and preserved artifacts from Antioch’s deep history. There is also a thoughtful dedication to its rich history in sports. The very knowledgeable staff treat you like family welcoming you into what feels like their home. Walking through the doors and stepping into each room feels as though you’re teleported back in time. Will definitely have to return because there’s just too much history here to absorb in one visit. And don’t forget the gift shop on your way out which feels more like an adorable antiques shop. And if you’re still undecided, admission is free!

Very cool museum. Pretty large, with multiple levels each with different content.

Was most impressed by the newspaper archives that go back over 100 years! You can read about WW2 in the eyes of the newspapers.

There's also a sports history section in the basement that is updated for each year's local champions + Antioch locals that made it big! Definitely more than I would expect from a local museum, and worth checking out.

What a great experience. The building is wonderfully decorated and well organized by treasures of long past. The staff are knowledgeable and professional. Shari toured a group of us through the multiple rooms on second floor. If you really want to learn about Antioch history, this is a great place to start!! Donations are also accepted.

I Love everything about the Antioch Historical Society Museum. I will definitely be back.. if you have not gone you need to go and check it out. If you are like me and Love your history and lived here forever or even just a little while go check it. But plan for the whole 3 hours they are open so you can check out everything. For you sports nuts, like me it is so cool to see all the people in your home town sports. The basement is totally sports cave.. it is so awesome... put this on your bucket list. It's in your home town and its FREE. so stop by Wednesday 1pm til 3pm or 4pm. Saturday 1pm til 3pm or 4pm I forget which time but you will definitely need all these hours to check this place out... Thank you again for the tour.

I've been to many historical small town museums, and this by far has got to be one of my favorites. Whatever it is that you're hoping to find of interest, I'm sure you'll find it here. It is diverse and well balanced, very educational, and educational in a good way... i.e.don't scare the young kids off! The docent was kind and very willing to share a wealth of information. He was much more than a virtual walking encyclopedia on the history of Antioch.:)

Very beautiful decor and restored very nicely. Great people and awesome insight into Antioch's past. Has copies of Antioch High yearbook dated all the way back to the beginning of the time of this museum being opened as the high school nearly a century ago.
