Do not use this company! I hired Greg to do radon mitigation for a home I was selling in 2018. I thought things went fine and I was happy with the work. In fact, as a Realtor, I referred Greg Bickle and ASEC out to several clients. I feel sick about that now. Greg contacted me 6 months after the work had been done and he had been paid saying that he never received payment which he had. I thought that it was over and I had moved on, until I just received a collections notice for the work that he had done and I had paid long ago. Then I searched this guy's name and found that I was lucky that he didn't try to rob me for more. He has been arrested for stealing from multiple clients. Do not use this company.

Had a mitigation system installed 2 days ago. Service was outstanding. The new owner just purchased the company recently and was very helpful and professional through the entire process, beginning with the free estimate. System is aesthetically pleasing and I will recommend ASEC to family and friends.

BEWARE: Unprofessional and Unreliable
In July 2018 I contracted Gregory Bickle at ASEC to install a radon mitigation system in my older home. The home features a crawlspace with dirt flooring. There was a dispute between Gregory and I about the work that was to be done but luckily my understanding matched the invoice. Gregory was very unprofessional and resorted to calling me names and threatening to put a lien on my home. Reluctantly he agreed to do the work as listed in the invoice. His sister finished the work on my home and during a major rain downpour she negligently left the hatch to my crawlspace open. I now had flooding in my crawlspace. Gregory and his sister concluded that the job was complete and the flooding in the crawlspace was now my problem to deal with. I ended up spending several hours with a shopvac and removed about 40 gallons of water from my crawlspace. 7 months later I noticed that the fan was no longer running. I have contacted Gregory several times leaving messages asking about a warranty on the fan and he has yet to contact me. Let this serve as a warning to you that if your thinking about using ASEC services that you should consider moving on and calling a real professional.

We are selling our home and the inspection came back showing our sump pump had stopped working at some point and our crawl space was full of water. We called ASEC per a realtor’s recommendation and were right away in touch with Gregory, who is the friendliest guy! He was very prompt and was at our house within a couple hours to assess the situation. We were completely blown away by his knowledge of water mitigation, mold and fungus treatment, etc. He has been in this business for a very long time and is very passionate about it and it shows. The work was completed in less than a week at a gold standard. And the work comes with a lifetime warranty as well. As if that all wasn’t impressive enough, ASEC charged us 1/3 of what another company who was going to do less work quoted us. We cannot say enough good things about ASEC and Gregory, and as a realtor myself, I will recommend him to all of my clients, as well as use their services for our own home in the future.

There are a lot of radon mitigation companies out there, but many lack knowledge in safe venting practices (for example, they'll place the vent pipe near a bedroom window or a swamp cooler intake) - This is not the case with ASEC. I've used ASEC for two radon jobs, the first time in 2011 and again in 2019; both times they came through with top-notch work at a fair price. Gregory is knowledgeable and will make sure the safety of your family comes first.

ASEC helped mitigate our radon. Our radon was reading above 14.0 pCi/L. They sealed a small crawl space and worked with us on a good location to dig a whole and route the fan through our garage attic. Even after mitigation, our radon was still high, so we upgraded to a larger fan. When it was still high, they came a dug a larger pit at not cost. Our house and soils were still not allowing enough radon to be pulled out and our radon was still reading a little high. They worked with us to determine a second pit. They made an additional hole and routed it back to the fan also at no additional cost. We really appreciated their time and dedication to solve our radon problem. Thanks!

I HIGHLY recommend ASEC (American Scientific & Environmental Consulting for ANY Mold Mitigation, radon clean up or mitigation, and any other environmental issue. This company is hands down the best service we have experienced here in Boulder, where we have had to do 3 Radon Mitigations and 3 Mold Mitigations since we have lived here. Gregory Bickle, the owner, is a brilliant, knowledgeable and a very deeply experienced, hands on technician who really, really cares and completely knows his business. We recently (Sept, 2018) used Greg to assess and clean up the awful mold we had in our basement and crawl space that was bad enough that we could smell it upstairs. It triggered my own prior mold exposure symptoms again. From my first conversation with Greg, to his careful assessment (he is fabulous with chemistry and makes his own much more reliable test kits) and then his meticulous clean up, thorough mold mitigation and even installation of an ultra violet light system was STELLAR. I cannot say enough good things about his respectful attitude and his absolutely huge integrity, inclusive of his very reasonable price -- he stands head and shoulders above the rest, I promise you! I have had way too many mold exposures and have become mold acutely sensitive and not only is Greg well-versed in this, he is very protective of your living space and goes to great lengths to entrap the mold where it is and avoid further spreading -- very important! Not everyone will do this! Greg also lead his team and performed an even more massive mold mitigation several years ago at our previous residence after a terrible mold infestation inside our walls after the big flood. It was a HUGE 6 month job whereby we were tented and walls had to be broken into, basement lined and cleaned up as well as the crawl space. Again, his job performance and his overall caring and consciousness on this job as well as the perfect removal of mold (very hard to do!) was memorable, so I kept his number. Please also know that I researched extensively elsewhere first and everyone was either incredibly expensive or sounded inept. I hope this helps you get the best removal of your toxins in your home. If I could give Greg 10 stars, I would!! This review was not at all solicited nor was I asked to provide it - rather, I insisted on doing so to help others.
